Future-Proof your Data and Reporting Strategy in Workday
Simplify
Stay inside Workday.
Build and run reports with Workday. No extra license costs with Prism, no external pipelines to transform, no shadow spreadsheets. Your staff refreshes on a clear runbook every term.
Accelerate
Fill the gaps that bundles miss.
Close the gap between partner “starter” reports and what your college actually needs. Report accelerators such as Degree Audit or Point-in-Time Enrollments deliver the missing essentials without complexity.
Prove with Evidence
Make the evidence easy to find.
CoreSpark makes governance visible: publish policies and curriculum changes, owners, route updates through an approval workflow, and keep audit-ready tracking of sources, changes, and signoffs.

Honest note (when we recommend Prism or external transforms)
If a requirement truly can’t be met with native reporting (e.g., cross-system joins, historical warehousing beyond snapshots), we flag it early, document the trade-off, and propose a minimal path that keeps ownership with your team.
Bridging the Gap
Tailored Workday Reporting Beyond Standard Bundles
Standard Workday implementation bundles cover common reporting needs, but true efficiency comes from solutions that fit your college. We custom-build these missing solutions directly in Workday, ensuring they perfectly align with your specific institutional needs.
A New Way of Working With AI
Where AI shows up in our offerings
Workday Training
Our AI model cross-checks all training materials against official Workday terms and patterns, gaps, and suggests drafted content. Datarules consultants review and approve before anything is published.
Strategy & Governance
AI draws from public standards and your institution’s context to create starting frameworks. You and your team finalize the definitions, assign owners, and set the rhythm for review.
Accelerators / CoreSpark
Inside CoreSpark, an AI assistant uses your own policies and catalog to provide quick lookups. Each answer is linked back to its original source, so you can see exactly where it came from.

Our Commitment to “Responsible AI”

At Datarules.ai, we believe AI in higher education should always put people first. That’s why every change and publication includes a human in the loop, and why we never train models on student data. Your institution’s AI is private and used only for your college. We keep data movement to a minimum, working within Workday whenever possible, so information stays secure and accessible. All AI outputs are linked to their sources, versioned, and go through approvals to ensure accuracy and accountability. And because choice matters, we provide clear opt-out controls for any AI features, so you’re always in control of how AI supports your work.

Jennifer Gibbs, Director of Institutional Effectiveness and Accreditation, Hinds Community College

"Like many colleges, we tried every workaround for point-in-time reporting in Workday such as scheduled census-day extracts, and running daily enrollment reports. When everyone told us point-in-time enrollment reporting in Workday couldn’t be done, I refused to give up. I knew exactly what we needed, and I spent the time validating every detail to ensure accuracy in enrollment reporting. That vision came to life when I partnered with Jeniffer Champaneri, a consultant willing to do the impossible. Together, we built a native-Workday point-in-time enrollment solution that delivers daily same-day prior-year comparisons, de-duplicated campus counts, and true program-of-study “as of enrollment date that our leaders depend on.This is more than just a report. It’s a source, a foundation of trust and confidence for our leadership. It has delivered real value for my team by cutting down manual reconciliation, freeing time for analysis, and giving us a repeatable framework to guide decisions. We no longer have to worry about running reports and storing them just in case, we are able to run the data for the day we need, no matter how long ago it was. I highly recommend Jeniffer Champaneri as a strategic partner. She executes at a top-tier level, delivers on what others said was impossible, and has given us both clarity and hope for what’s possible in Workday. Jeniffer was an absolute pleasure to work with, and we hope to partner with her again in the near future. I now know not to let anyone tell me something is impossible in Workday. You just have to find the right person, and for us, that was Jeniffer Champaneri!"

Timothy S. Huebner, Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs, Rhodes College

"Jen Champaneri has been nothing short of a lifesaver for our institution. When we were confronted with leadership changes and staffing challenges, Jen stepped up to help meet our immediate data needs, enabled us to figure out next steps in developing a data and reporting strategy, and provided critical advice to senior leaders about how we might take a holistic and proactive approach to our institutional data challenges. Experienced and reliable, Jen has assisted us in a variety of ways--including shoring up our Registrar's office, collaborating with our Information Services staff in validating data, and meeting critical external reporting needs. Her careful attention to detail, her commitment to excellence and accuracy, and her willingness to go the extra mile to get the job done have made her a key player in the success of our college. I highly recommend her."

" Reference Testimonial As the Chief Institutional Effectiveness, Research, and Data Strategist in the Office of Institutional Effectiveness, Research, and Analytics (OIERA) at Rhodes College, I have had the distinct pleasure of working with and collaborating with the company, Datarules, and their Principal Consultant, Ms. Jeniffer Champaneri, heretofore referred as Jeniffer. A particularly noteworthy example of Jeniffer's dedication was her cooperation, collaboration, and the management of our submissions for Financial Value Transparency/Gainful Employment (FVT/GE) requirements through the National Student Clearinghouse (NSC). More importantly, collaborating with us and delivering these critical reports during the holiday season underscored her commitment and reliability. Despite the challenges posed by the timing, Jeniffer ensured that our submissions were completed accurately and on schedule, demonstrating her ability to manage high-pressure situations with grace and efficiency – Kudos Jeniffer! Reports compliance, Jeniffer diligently worked with us and played a vital role in developing our Institutional Effectiveness, Research, and Planning Reports, as well as in the data analysis used in producing and delivering our Enrollment Management Reports, offering strategic insights that have informed our long-term academic planning and student recruitment, persistence, retention, and completion strategies. William McLain, Reporting Analyst, Rhodes College

"Jen Champaneri has been a huge support for our Registrar’s Office National Student Clearinghouse (NSC) Enrollment Reporting process. We began using Workday as our Student Information System (SIS) in Fall 2023. Due to data discrepancies between Workday and our previous SIS, the first few NSC Enrollment Reports took 100 hours of work each to prepare the documents for submission and resolve the 1,500 errors. With Jen’s help, our NSC Enrollment Reports have been accepted with 0 errors and only require 15 hours of work. For example, she created a guide that allowed us to easily compare our NSC submissions from our previous SIS to our new Workday submissions. She also created formulas that allowed us to quickly alter student data based on whether they were reported using our previous SIS."

Higher Ed's Data Crisis: Complexity, Cost, Compliance
Which One Will Break First?
"Over the next decade, American higher education will undergo a profound shakeout… facing not just cyclical challenges, but a "structural transformation" that will determine which institutions survive and thrive in the coming decade."
Inside Higher Ed, April 2025.
Institutions are facing a perfect storm of challenges, from financial pressure and shifting enrollments to government agency disruptions and the ethical use of AI.
These forces are transforming the higher ed landscape, forcing schools to rethink their strategies and operations. Leaders must navigate this complex environment, finding ways to maintain academic excellence while adapting to rapidly evolving student needs and technological innovations.
Addressing these challenges will require a holistic, data-driven approach. Colleges and universities need to master their data, future-proofing their data strategies to drive better decision-making and operational efficiency. By harnessing the power of data and emerging technologies like AI, institutions can overcome the higher ed data crisis and deliver enhanced capabilities to students, faculty, and staff.
Cost is a Ticking Time Bomb
Legacy policies and tools hide their true cost in plain sight: slow decisions, duplicated work, outdated skillsets, and increased workload year after year.
You're not overspending—you're underdelivering.
Complexity is Silently Killing Agility
Manual processes and endless integrations drain your resources and delay progress.
Change isn't coming. It's here.
Compliance Is Changing
New mandates. New risks. New tech. From FERPA to AI governance, compliance is evolving faster than most teams can track.
Your institution wasn't built for this pace or this complexity.
Audits shouldn’t feel like a fire drill.
